Head Golf Professional
Milt came to the Beloit Club after nearly 14 years of service to the Country Club of Beloit (CCB). At the CCB, he developed many unique golf programs and tournaments and served as the general manager for a time. Before joining the CCB, he helped direct programs at Westmoor Country Club in Brookfield, Wis., as the head professional. Milt continued working at Westmoor Country Club while spending his winters working at Marriott’s Mountain Shadows in Scottsdale, Ariz., for five years.
Milt’s passion to help others succeed in golf comes from his own experiences with golf instruction, and he has coached players that have won tournaments at all levels. His patient demeanor coupled with his attention to detail and desire to help every student improve ensures a high level of instruction. Milt prides himself on the fact that he is always learning and continuously striving to become a better instructor.
Director of Instruction
Travis Becker, our director of instruction, joined the Beloit Club in 2016. Travis brings a wealth of experience and knowledge along with a dedicated following of students. Prior to joining the Beloit Club team, Travis spent the previous 17 years with Cherokee Country Club, serving as the club’s head golf professional from 2010-2015. A PGA of America member, Travis was named the 2009 Wisconsin PGA Assistant Golf Professional of the Year. He was the head coach of the Wisconsin PGA Junior League state champions, was named 2015 Wisconsin Teacher of the Year, and also 2015-16 Golf Digest State Top Teacher.
Travis is a five-time Top 100 Club Fitter for Titleist and has extensive experience with various launch monitors and teaching software. Travis specializes in putter fitting and putter instruction and has performed over 10,000 lessons and club fittings.
Golf Course Superintendent
Brian was born near Scranton, PA and moved to Monroe, WI when he was 12 years old, where he currently resides. He started in the turf industry at The Legend at Bergamont in Oregon, WI. Brian spent two years at Southwest Technical College in the Golf Course Management program and graduated with an associate’s degree in 2009.
After school, Brian served as an assistant at Robert Black/Sydney Marovitz/Diversey in Chicago, the Golf Club at Mansion Ridge and Knollwood Country Club (NY). Brian moved back to the Madison area to continue his career in his home state and joined the Beloit Club as the Assistant Superintendent with Oliphant Golf in the spring of 2015.
He was promoted to Head Superintendent in November of 2015, then came on board with the Beloit Club in January of 2018. Brian’s faithful companion, Hurley, has been with him during his professional career. You are bound to see Hurley running on club grounds as he loves to come to work each day!
